The Danville Chapter of AMBUCS annually holds a series of free concerts at Danville’s Temple Plaza. The “Ambucs Friday Nights” is open to the public and features 6 live performances every other Friday during the summer months. A variety of music is planned, from classic rock to modern country. The bar will open at 5:00pmwith bands playing from 6:00pm to 9:00pm each evening. Food vendors will be on hand as well.

AMBUCS volunteers will organize the concerts, hire the bands, and sell beverages at each event. Many area businesses sponsor and support the series, and receive marketing recognition and other benefits.

At the venue, the Danville AMBUCS highlight many of their projects this event supports, including providing specially designed therapeutic tricycles to persons with disabilities, a two week local summer camp for children with special needs, scholarships for therapy students, Challenger League baseball, and all-access playgrounds at three city parks. Danville Ambucs are dedicated to creating mobility and independence for persons with disabilities, especially children.
